The Health Benefits of Spiralizing

I recently bought a spiralizer and it’s one of the best things I could have ever done! By using a spiralizer I not only cut down on calories, carbs, fat, and sugar, but I save a ton of time!

Eating healthy is important to me and my new spiralizer makes it easy and fun to do. Spiralizing fruits and veggies allows me to eat more of them and less of the unhealthy alternatives.

More Veggies!

Aside from the spiralizer making it easy for me to get more vegetables into my diet, I actually eat less. When I chop, dice, or cube vegetables I always feel the need for more as it just doesn’t seem like a lot. When you spiralize them, they actually seem like a lot more vs. other methods of processing them.

Eating more healthy vegetables is as simple as replacing carbs. By spiralizing fresh veggies into noodles, I can replace, or at least cut down on pasta altogether. Spiralized veggies are also much more fun to eat so I actually crave them more.

Great for Specialty Diets

For those that prefer or need to follow a specialty diet such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or other diets – a spiralizer is a must-have. Fruits and vegetables can get boring if they are a large part of your diet, by spiralizing you open up your meal choices and are better able to stick to your diet.

Discover New Things

Different seasons offer different fresh veggies and fruits. Throughout the seasons I can’t wait to get creative and try all the new fresh produce from my local farmers market. Also, getting kids to eat healthier has never been easier!

Kids absolutely love not only watching fruits and veggies magically turn into cool noodles, but they’ll also want to try them when they’re done! Even if they still don’t want to eat them you can sneak them into their favorite dishes. Spiralize a few vegetables and put them in their favorite pasta.

Save Time

In addition to being healthier than pasta, the amount of time it takes to cook veggies is much shorter. You don’t even need to boil them – just throw them in the sauce to let them warm up a few minutes and they are ready to eat.

Although it may seem like you’re taking an extra step – you are cutting out the time it takes to boil water and cook the pasta. It literally only takes a few seconds to spiralize any vegetable and they are ready to eat in 5 minutes or less.
