Finding Your Talisman – A Quick Guide to Discovering Your Lucky Charm

Many people don’t tend to believe that inanimate objects carry energy or have their own essence.

However, many spiritualists, witches, magicians, creatives, and even some athletes think otherwise.

Talisman

Objects that are dear to you can, however, aid in your ability to harness helpful spiritual powers. They can inspire luck and aid in bringing you good fortune.

Finding a Talisman

Truth is, you may even already have a talisman. Do you wear a lucky necklace you never take off? A ring that has special sentimental value? Maybe you have a lucky charm you keep in your pocket… That could be your talisman right there.

If you don’t have one already, perhaps you should find one – or let one find you. It’s not uncommon to simply have something speak to your intuition. Often, certain symbols like an ouroboros, a rose, or an anchor resonate with us for one reason or another.

It could even be something as simple as your astrological sign.

Letting One Find You

Just as the Cloak of Levitation chose Dr. Strange, your talisman may choose you as well.

You may find a symbol or an object that simply presents itself to you in your journey. Perhaps there’s a reoccurring symbol that you keep seeing throughout your life. If there’s something you’re intrinsically drawn to, it might be a sign.

Or, perhaps there’s something that seems drawn to you. Maybe you have friends and family who constantly give you gifts with recurring symbols like triangles or birds.

Allow your intuition to guide you.

Researching Symbols

If you simply feel stuck and cannot seem to find something that calls to you, some research may be necessary.

If you are struggling to find a symbol or object that suits you, you can look to your blood lineage. It shouldn’t be overthought, but sometimes turning to your ancestry can be enlightening. Alternatively, if you’re drawn to a certain philosophy or type of art, you may find symbols in that.

By educating yourself, you may find what you seek.

Caring for Your Talisman

After selecting a talisman, it’s important to treat it with kindness and gratitude. The more you wear it and rely on its help, the more powerful it will become.

Just like crystals, talismans should be cleansed by moonlight or lukewarm salt water (if it’s safe to submerge your talisman). You should also always regard your talisman with good intentions.

It’s also best to keep your talisman to yourself rather than to share it with others.

If you lose it, do not fret. You are capable of living without it, and perhaps someone else is more in need of its powers. Maybe it’s simply time for you to find a new one.
