When it comes to getting a good night’s rest, we can’t stress the importance of good sleep hygiene enough.
You have a regular routine, right? You likely brush your teeth and wash up before bed, but why stop at just a physical care routine?
We should all be practicing good nighttime habits like eliminating blue light and stepping away from our devices. However, it’s also important to clear your energy field as well. Just like you wash up to rid yourself of grime or makeup, shouldn’t you get rid of negative energy, too?
Here’s how you can attend to your personal field of energy and potentially also improve your sleep quality.
Start by practicing your nightly breathing exercises. Whether you use the 4-7-8 technique or simply take five or so deep breaths, this is an important first step.
Now, close your eyes and envision a radiant, beautiful light. It can be any color you choose. Let the light flood in from all around, surrounding you like a cocoon. Allow the light to pass over you, starting from the top of your head, moving down through your body.
Imagine the light touching every fiber of your being.
Visualize your energy being returned to you. Envision it becoming detached from the situations, people, places, and things on which you’ve expended it.
Imagine your energy becoming unhooked from the things that have brought you anxiousness, stress, sadness, anger, and other negative feelings.
As your energy is returned to you, cleanse it with the healing light that encompasses you. Let the heavy, negative energy be washed away.
To finish the exercise, imagine another shade of light moving through you, like one last cleansing rinse.
Now that you’ve stripped away the negativity, you should feel realigned with your now cleansed and strengthened field of energy.
The exercise, overall, rarely takes more than five minutes and should hopefully help you achieve a more blissful sleep. Try it and see how you feel!
