So you’re trying to lose weight. Good for you! We should always want to improve ourselves, and if you’re taking steps for your health, that’s great. But before you get on the weight loss bandwagon and try the latest fad, let’s look at what you shouldn’t do in order to lose weight.
Crash diets seem like a good idea at first, because you can lose weight quickly, but this weight rarely stays off. You’re likely to gain it back just as fast, and aggressive weight yo-yoing is not healthy for you.
Overworking yourself while exercising isn’t ideal, either. You could put a lot of strain on your muscles, and even pull something and hurt yourself. Moderate, regulated exercise is great. Overworking is going to hurt.
Stopping immediately when it gets hard is going to be our final point. Losing weight, being healthy… these aren’t easy things. But if you need them, they’re worth it – so don’t stop when it gets hard. It’s not going to be easy, but it will get easier if you stick with it.
