Jupiter Retrograde is Nothing to Worry About, Right?

Everyone’s heard of Mercury retrograde – friends and coworkers blame all sorts of things on it. From an astronomical standpoint, this is a time in which Mercury appears to travel in reverse. Astrologically, it’s known as a period where communications, technology, and other aspects of our lives are flung into chaos.

Mercury retrograde is blamed for computer glitches, miscommunications, heightened anxiety, and more. This is, of course, because Mercury rules expression, communication, technology, and travel – hence why these things can go haywire.

Jupiter

Jupiter, on the other hand, rules intellect and higher learning as it is the planet of knowledge and wisdom. So, does that mean Jupiter retrograde is going to make us all total dummies? Are we about to go full air-head? Probably not…

Jupiter Retrograde

Unlike Mercury retrograde, Jupiter retrograde isn’t quite so turbulent. The period, which begins April 10, 2019 and lasts for around four months, is more a time for thoughtful reflection.

Mercury is such a fast-moving planet that when it goes retrograde, things simply feel chaotic. Jupiter is much larger – and much slower. When it takes a change in direction, it gives us time to step back ourselves and assess our development.

Jupiter retrograde is an ideal time to reflect on all the knowledge and experience you’ve gained. Perhaps you’ve been studying new things or have taken on new hobbies. If that’s the case, now’s the time to take stock of what you’ve learned and how you’ve progressed.

This is especially true for those under the signs of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius during this particular retrograde period.

Trust Yourself

While Jupiter retrograde won’t likely throw you off in any major way, there are some things to keep in mind. When looking for answers, don’t forget to look inside yourself.

We often turn to the internet, books, friends, and leaders to expand our knowledge. However, we can learn a lot from ourselves as well, and Jupiter retrograde is a great time to do so.

Look at this period as an opportunity to connect with what you already know and learn to better apply it.
