Everyone’s different when it comes to sleep habits and patterns. Some folks are able to ease into bed and fall asleep within minutes, while others struggle with insomnia.

Aquarius

Less likely to treat sleep as something pleasurable, but rather a necessity, Aquarians often approach bedtime with practicality in mind.

If you thought you could function without sleep, you probably would skip it all together. Luckily, however, you’re smart enough to recognize its importance.

Pisces

It’s not that Pisceans aren’t morning people, it’s just that they don’t likely want to get up.

Dreams are like a drug to most folks born under this sign. As such, they can be prone to laziness or simply just dozing off anytime, anywhere.

Try to come up with an enjoyable morning routine, perhaps incorporating some breathing exercises, to help fully wake you up.

Aries

With Mars as your ruling planet, you likely tend to be quite energetic. As such, if that energy isn’t spent productively during the day, you may find it difficult to fall asleep easily. This can lead to restlessness and unhealthy sleep patterns.

Try to expend that energy during waking hours so you can wind down at night.

Taurus

For Taureans, sleep – and especially sleeping in – is often felt as a luxury. Taking a nap or lounging around in bed is, of course, enjoyable for most folks. However, for those born under the sign of the bull, it’s extra indulgent.

Taureans tend to put a lot of thought and effort into the ambiance of the places where they relax. Your bedroom should be your sanctuary.

Gemini

Chances are, if you’re a Gemini, you don’t have a set routine when it comes to sleep. Prone to lengthy late-night conversations and being easily distracted, you can end up staying up long past the average bedtime.

It can be difficult to shut your mind off and sleep. That’s why you might want to try incorporating good sleep hygiene habits in your life. That means shutting your phone off an hour before bed, perhaps enjoying some chamomile tea, and trying to relax.

Cancer

For Cancers, sleep habits can vary. However, there are several factors that have a profound influence on just how they vary.

A highly emotional, sensitive sign, your ability to sleep may very well be affected by how peaceful you feel. That means it’s important to find ways to de-stress before bedtime if you want to achieve a tranquil night’s sleep.

Leo

While some people can get by on six hours of sleep, Leos quite often cannot. No, Leos seem to need a lengthy resting period. Leisurely naps and sleeping in regularly are just par for the course.

Of course, this can sometimes contribute to Leo’s occasional laziness. We get it, you’ve been hard at work and you deserve the downtime, just be careful you don’t overdo it.

Virgo

Poor Virgos are incredibly prone to insomnia. It’s no wonder though, considering how difficult it is for them to stop thinking so much. As perfectionists, Virgos often over-analyze everything, making it difficult to shut down and relax.

It’s sometimes hard to slow down and de-stress, but just consider how beneficial a good night’s rest really is. Try meditating before bed so you can (hopefully) stop dwelling on things you can’t attend to right this second. If you feel you need some sort of sleep aid, talk to a doctor or counselor first.

Libra

Surprisingly good at falling asleep, Libras tend to struggle much less with sleep related issues than the other signs. (If only Virgos had their ability to check out and conk out, right?)

Libras also love to cuddle and would often rather sleep with a partner than go to bed alone.

Scorpio

If you’re prone to staring at the ceiling for hours before drifting off to sleep, you might be a Scorpio.

Dreams can be haunting – and can prompt you to stay up later than you might like. Combine this with the fact that you’re likely not a morning person and you’ve got a recipe for coffee addiction.

Just try not to keep drinking caffeine after 2 PM.

Sagittarius

Similarly to Scorpios, Sagittarians may also fiend for caffeine in the mornings.

You may not feel sleep is the greatest necessity, and you may even function on fewer hours than most. However, sleep is important to your health, as is a good diet and fitness routine. Just because you can get by with less doesn’t mean you necessarily should.

Capricorn

At home, Capricorns are often quite good at sticking to a regular, practical sleep routine. However, outside of that comfort zone, things can get a little tricky.

It’s quite common for Capricorns to have trouble relaxing in a new environment. Anxiousness or unease can also disrupt their routines as well.

Try to find something comforting and grounding you can keep with you when traveling to new places.
