Do Face Exercises Actually Work?

The short answer is yes! By performing facial exercises you can reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Even if you don’t have any of those yet, you can keep them away by simply making sure to exercise your face regularly.

How to Exercise Your Face

Exercise Your Lips

Let’s start with an easy facial exercise. Use your lip muscles to press your lips tightly together. Keep them pressed together for 20 seconds and repeat three times. Done already?  Great!  See, I told you that’d be easy!

Let’s move on to something a tiny bit more challenging, although they’re still pretty easy.

Exercise Your Forehead

Place the palms of your hands on your eyebrows holding the skin firmly in place. With palms still pressed, raise your eyebrow muscles and lower them. Hold each position for 30 seconds and repeat these movements 10 times.

The purpose of your palms is to create resistance which will help smooth lines on the forehead.

Exercise Your Eyelids

Now, let’s focus on the eyelids. They are an easy muscle to work and do not require much resistance. Simply sit down and close your eyes. While they are closed and relaxed, use your index finger to lift up your eyebrows. Hold this position for 10 seconds and repeat 10 times.

Exercise Your Smile

We saved the best for last!  Here is how to make your smile even brighter. Begin smiling by stretching the corners mouth outward with your lips still together. Slowly turn your mouth upwards until your upper teeth are exposed.

Now smile as big as you can! See, I knew I could make you smile! Hold the different stages of this exercise for 10 minutes per stage for a brighter smile and fewer wrinkles.
