Flabby Arm Workouts

Cause of Flabby Arms

As we age, the skin begins to unfortunately lose elasticity. Arms also hold unsightly excess fat accumulation. The best way to fight flabby arms is to tone the biceps and triceps. Tightening these muscles pulls the flab in and helps you lose that unwanted fat.

Try these exercises for tighter, firmer arms:

Triceps Dips

All you need for this one is your will to get in shape, along with a chair, bench or stool. Simply position your hands behind you, putting them in a firm position on your supportive surface.

Extend your legs straight out until your heels are the only part of your feet touching the ground. Slowly lower and raise your body, using your arms. Be sure to keep your upper body straight with your elbows tucked in close to your body.

Push-Ups

Push-ups help to firm your triceps and your chest. You can mix up your push-ups by putting your arms closer together or further apart to target different areas. If you are unable to do a push-up, start by doing an easier version with your knees on the ground instead of your toes. As you build your muscles, advance to getting off of your knees and onto your toes.

Arm Circles

Standing straight up, extend your arms directly out towards your sides. Move your arms in fast, small circles increasing the size of the circles. Once you have completed as many as you can, take a break and start over with your hands pointing directly in front you.
